                If you answer "yes" to any of the following questions, you are at increased risk for hepatitis C and could be infected with the hepatitis C virus.

• Have you ever injected drugs even one time or many years ago?

• Were you a recipient of donated blood, blood products and organs prior to 1992?

• Did you receive a blood product for clotting problems made before 1987?

• Are you a hemodialysis patient or person who spent many years on dialysis for kidney failure?

• Have you received a body piercing or tattoo done with non-sterile instruments?

• Are you HIV positive?

• Were you born to an infected mother?

• There are 11 counseling, testing and referral sites throughout North Dakota that offer hepatitis C screening and hepatitis A and B vaccination free-of-charge.  These sites include:
